Okra Stir-fry with Garlic (Đậu bắp xào tỏi) Recipe

 


Ingredients

10 oz. Okra
pinch of Salt
4 Tbsp. Canola Oil
4 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
chopped Green Onions
2 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning
1 Tbsp. Water
1 tsp. Oyster Sauce
Ground Black Pepper

Rinse and wash 10 oz. Okra.  Boil some water, add in a pinch of Salt.  Blanch the Okra for 1 minute.  Remove from the hot water and into cold water.  Then drain out the water. 

Now prepare the fried Garlic.  You’ll need 4 Tbsp. of Canola Oil and 4 Tbsp. minced Garlic.  Add the oil into a pan then add in the Garlic.  Wait for it to turn slightly brown.  Remove the Garlic and place into a small bowl.  

Cut the top of the Okra and set aside. 

Add 1 Tbsp. of Olive Oil and the white section of the Green Onions.  Add 2 tsp. Sugar and 1 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning.  Mix 1 Tbsp. water with 1 tsp. Oyster Sauce and add into pan.  Then add in the Okra and the fried Garlic.  Mix and then add in the chopped Green Onions and some Ground Black Pepper.  Serve with rice and enjoy.
