Vietnamese Beef Jerky (Khô bò) Recipe

 


Ingredients

2.5 lb. Rump Roast Beef
2 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
3 tsp. Sugar
2 tsp. minced Garlic
2 Tbsp. minced Lemongrass
2 Tbsp. Chili Powder
2 Tbsp. Rice Wine
1 tsp. Ginger Powder
1 tsp. Five Spice Powder
1 tsp. Curry Powder
2 Tbsp. Annatto Seed Oil
1 tsp. Turmeric Powder


Cut 2.5 lb. Rump Roast Beef.  Place in a pan to marinate.   Add in 2 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning, 1 tsp. Salt, 1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper,  3 tsp. Sugar, 2 tsp. minced Garlic, 2 Tbsp. minced Lemongrass, 2 Tbsp. Chili Powder, 2 Tbsp. Rice Wine, 1 tsp. Ginger Powder, 1 tsp. Five Spice Powder, 1 tsp. Curry Powder, 2 Tbsp. Annatto Seed Oil, 1 tsp. Turmeric Powder and mix well.  Set aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, layout on a rack and place a pan underneath. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-4 hours.  Remove and enjoy!
