Vietnamese Green Mango Salad with Dried Fish (Gỏi xoài cá khô) Recipe


1 Green Mango
2 Dried Fish
2 1/2 tsp. sugar
3 Chili Pepper
2 Lime Juice
2 tsp. Fish Sauce

Soak 2 Dried Fish for 1 hour.  After 1 hour, pat dry the fish and fry until golden. Set aside to cool. 

Fry some Garlic until golden.  Remove from oil and set aside. 

Peel and cut into strips 1 Green Mango and set aside. 

Pound 3 Chili Peppers, 2 tsp. Sugar and 6 Garlic Cloves together.  Add in another 1/2 tsp. Sugar, 2 Lime Juice and 2 tsp. Fish Sauce.  Mix well and set aside. 

Remove the bones from the fish and cut into bite size pieces. 

In a large bowl, add in the Green Mango, Dried Fish and Fried Garlic.  Cut some herbs and add it into bowl.  Then add in the Fish Sauce mixture.  Mix well.  Serve and enjoy!
