Dried Shrimp with Ground Black Pepper Braised in Clay Pot (Tôm khô kho tiêu) Recipe

 


Ingredients
1 cup Dried Shrimp (soak overnight)
2 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1 Tbsp. chopped Shallots
Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp. Coconut Sauce
2 Tbsp. Water
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Pinch Kosher Salt
Pinch of Mushroom Seasoning
Green Onions

Soak 1 cup Dried Shrimp overnight, next day rinse with water and set aside. 

Cook with medium heat. Add 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil into a clay pot.  Add 1 Tbsp. minced Garlic.  Add 1 Tbsp. chopped shallots.  Saute until slightly golden. Add in 1 cup Dried Shrimp.  Add 1 tsp. Soy Sauce. Add 2 tsp. Sugar. 1 tsp. Coconut Sauce. Add in 2 Tbsp. Water. Add in a pinch Kosher Salt. Add pinch of Mushroom Seasoning. Mix and continue to let it simmer. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.  Add in Ground Black Pepper and some Green Onions.  Remove from heat and serve with rice. Enjoy.
