Crispy Fried Squids (Mực chien giòn) Recipe


Ingredients
1 lb. Squid
1 tsp. Annatto Seed Oil
1 cup Shrimp Batter Mix 
1/2 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. minced Garlic
Pinch of Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning or Chicken Seasoning
1 tsp. Thai Chili 
Ground Black Pepper
Water
Frying Oil

Wash and rinse the Squids.  Cut into small pieces (about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide). Let it air dry. Place into a bowl to marinate.  Add 1 tsp. minced Garlic. Add a pinch of Kosher Salt. Add 1/2 tsp. Sugar. Add 1/2 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning or Chicken Seasoning. Add 1 tsp. Thai Chili.  Add 1 tsp. Annatto Seed Oil. Add some Ground Black Pepper.  Mix well and let it marinate for about 30 minutes. 

Mix 1 cup of Batter mix with water, you need it to be a thick consistency.

Dip the squid into the batter then place into frying oil.  Fry until golden.
