Bean Curd Pork Rolls (Tau Hu Ky Cuon Thit)
Ingredients
1 package Bean Curd Sheets
1 lb. Pork
1 Onion
1 Egg
4 Garlic Clovers
3 Green Onions
2 Water Chestnuts
1 tsp minced Ginger
1 Tbsp. Rice Vinegar
Sesame Oil
1 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Shiitake Mushrooms
1/2 cup Bamboo Shoot
1/4 cup Tapioca Starch
1/2 tsp. Five Spice Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Sugar
Black Pepper
Cooking Oil
Mince 1 lb. Pork. Once you are done mincing the Pork put in a bowl and set aside.
Take out 2 Water Chestnuts. Peel the outside layer. Slice it into thin pieces and mince. Then set aside.
Rinse 1/2 cup Shiitake Mushrooms and squeeze the access water. Chop and set aside.
Chop 1/2 cup Bamboo Shoot, 1 Onion, and 3 Green Onions. Mince 1 tsp Ginger and 4 Garlic Clovers. Put in a bowl and set aside.
Now you should have minced Pork, chopped Bamboo Shoot, minced Water Chestnuts, chopped Mushroom, Onion, Green Onions, minced Ginger and Garlic.
Mix the minced Pork, Onion, Green Onions, Water Chestnuts, Mushroom, and Bamboo Shoot together. Set aside.
In a small bowl beat 1 egg. Add in 1 tsp. minced Ginger and Garlic save the rest for later. Continue to mix. Add in 1/4 cup Tapioca Starch. Add in 1 Tbsp. Rice Vinegar.
Add in 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce. Then add in 1 Tbsp. Sugar. Mix and set aside.
Going back to the other bowl with the meat. Add in 1 tsp. Salt. Add in the rest of the minced Ginger and Garlic. Add in about 1 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce.
Add in some Black Pepper and mix. Add in 1/2 tsp. Five Spice Powder, continue to mix. Now add in the egg mixture. Add in a little bit of Sesame Oil.
Cut Bean Curd Sheets into squares. You need about 16 thin sheets.
To roll, take 1 Bean Curd sheet. Spread some Sesame oil, put the fillings in the center and roll. Place it on a plate and repeat until you are done.
In a pan add in some Oil and some Garlic. Fry the rolls until slightly brown. Take it out and place on paper towel.
Place it on a dish or a pan to steam. Steam for 30 minutes.

Sauce
2 Tbsp. Rice Flour
1 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1 chopped Green Onion
1/2 cup Water
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/3 tsp. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Oil
To make the Sauce add 2 Tbsp. Rice Flour and 1/2 cup Water. Stir and add in 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce, 1/4 tsp. Salt, and 1/3 tsp. Sugar. In a pan add in 1 Tbsp. Oil and 1 Tbsp. minced Garlic.
Saute until slightly brown and add in the mixture. When it starts to boil add in the chopped Green Onion and remove from stove.
To serve place the rolls on a plate and spread the sauce on top.
