Marinate Shrimp
4 lbs Shrimp (any size will work)
1/2 cup Vodka
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Salt
Cooking
1 Tbsp. Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. Vodka
Prepare 4 lbs Shrimp. Remove the black string inside the Shrimp, then rinse with water. Place into a large bowl, add 1 Tbsp. Salt, 2 Tbsp. Sugar and 1/2 cup Vodka. Mix well, let it marinate for 7 minutes.
After 7 minutes, rinse with water. Place inside a large pot. Add in 1 Tbsp. Salt and 1 1/2 Tbsp. Vodka. Mix well. Let it cook on medium heat until pink.
Drain out the cooked Shrimp. Set aside to cool. Dry the Shrimp. Best to dry it in the sun when it’s around 90 degrees F to 100 degrees F. You can use the oven or a dehydrator if you want. Once the shrimp dried, it should look like this.
Place in a bag and smash it with a stick so the shell will fall off. Sometimes the shell still sticks to the shrimp. Remove it by hand if you need to.
Place in sealed bag or container and keep in refrigerator to use.
