Ingredients
1/3 cup Lime Leaves
Lime Juice
Salt
1 Large Chicken
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. chopped Shallots
1 Tbsp. minced Garlic
2 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning
1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
Lemongrass
Shallots
1/2 Onion
Use Lime Juice and Salt to clean and rub on 1 whole Chicken. Set aside to let it air dry.
Cut about 1/3 cup Lime Leaves into strips. Place in a bowl. Add in 1 1/2 tsp. Salt, 1 Tbsp. chopped Shallots, 1 Tbsp. minced Garlic, 2 tsp. Sugar, 1 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning, 1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper and mix.
Rub the mixture all over the Chicken. Marinate for 1 hour.
Line your steamer with parchment paper. Cut some Lemongrass into 2 inches long sticks. Place it in steamer. Cut the Shallots and place in steamer. Cut 1/2 Onion and place in steamer. Place the Chicken on top. Stuff some Lemongrass, Shallots and Onions inside the Chicken.
Steam for 40 minutes or longer depends on the size of the Chicken. Remove from steamer and let it cool. Shred the Chicken and serve with meal. Enjoy.
