Prawns with Tamarind Sauce (tôm sốt me) Recipe

 


Ingredients

12 Prawns
2 Tbsp. Oil
2 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 Tbsp. Wheat Starch
Frying Oil
3 Tbsp. Tamarind Sauce
Cilantro

In a pan, add in 2 Tbsp. Oil and 2 Tbsp. minced Garlic.  Wait until it’s slightly golden,  pour through a strainer and set the Garlic aside.

Clean and rinse 12 Prawns.  Place in a large bowl. Add in 1/2 tsp. Salt and 2 Tbsp. Wheat Starch.  Mix well.  In a pan, add in some frying oil.  Add in the Prawns.  Pan fry until golden.  

On medium high heat.  Add in 3 Tbsp. Tamarind Sauce into a pan.  Add in the fried Prawns and mix. Then add in the crispy Garlic.  Mix and remove from heat.  Place on a plate, garnish with some Cilantro and serve with rice.  Enjoy.
