Stir-fry Squid with Black Bean Sauce (Mực xào tương đậu đen) Recipe

 


Ingredients

Marinate Squid
2 Large Squids
1 tsp. Garlic
1 tsp. chopped Shallots
1 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Black Bean Garlic Sauce
1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

Marinate Shrimp
6 Large Shrimp
1 tsp. minced Garlic
pinch of Sugar
pinch of Mushroom Seasoning

Stir-fry 
Marinated Squid
Marinated Shrimp
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Red Bell Pepper
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1 Tbsp. chopped Shallots
1 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1/2 Onion (cut)
Green Onions (cut 2 inches)
1/2 tsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning
Ground Black Pepper


Rinse 2 Large Squid.  Cut slits across the squid then cut about 2 inches long strips.  Place into a bowl to marinate.  Add 1 tsp. minced Garlic, 1 tsp. chopped Shallots, 1 tsp. Sugar, 1 tsp. Black Bean Garlic Sauce and 1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper. Mix well. Set aside for 15 minutes. 

Rinse and peel 6 large Shrimp. Add in 1 tsp. minced Garlic, pinch of Sugar and Mushroom Seasoning.  Mix and set aside for 15 minutes. 

Cut 1 Green Bell Pepper into bite size pieces. 
Cut 1 Red Bell Pepper into bite size pieces. 

Have your ingredients ready to stir-fry. 

Add 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil into a pan. Cook on medium-high heat. Add 1 Tbsp. chopped Shallots and 1 Tbsp. minced Garlic. Add in the marinated Squid and Shrimp. Add in 1/2 of an Onion, cut into bite size pieces. Then add in Green Onions, cut about 2 inches long. Add in 1/2 tsp. Sugar and 1/2 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning.  Once the squid and shrimp looks semi cooked, add in Green and Red Bell Peppers. Add in some more Green Onions and some Ground Black Pepper.  Remove from heat and enjoy with your meal.
