Applesauce (Cach Lam Applesauce)

Applesauce (Cach Lam Applesauce)

5 Gala Apples
4 Granny Smith Apples
1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 cup Water (add more as needed)
1/2 Lemon Juice
some Lemon Peel
1/4 cup Brown Sugar

Peel and cut all apples into small pieces and put into a bowl.  Then set aside. In a large pot, pour 1 cup Water.
Using medium heat, add the apples. Add 1/4 cup Brown Sugar. Add 1/2 tsp. Salt. Mix, add some Lemon Peels. Let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Add more water as needed. After about 20 minutes add in 1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon and squeeze 1/2 Lemon Juice. Mix well, remove from heat and serve.
