Scallion Cake (Banh Hanh La)
1 cup Bread Flour
1/2 cup Water
2 tsp. Salt
1 cup chopped Green Onions
2 Tbsp. melted Butter
1 tsp. Oil
In a bowl add in 1 cup Bread Flour. Add in 1/2 cup Water. Mix and knead until the dough is no longer sticky. Cover with plastic wrap and let it sit for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes take it out of bowl. Spread some flour on your surface. Knead the dough for 1-2 minutes. Take a piece of the dough. Lay it out and flatten it with a roller.
Spread some melted Butter. Sprinkle some Salt. Then the chopped Green Onions. Roll it up and pinch the ends. Then curl it. Using a roller again, flatten it. Repeat until you use up all your dough.
In a pan add in 1 tsp. Oil. Using medium heat place the cake into the pan. Flip the cake when it turns slightly brown. When both sides are slightly brown remove from pan and serve with soy sauce.
