How to make Chili Hot Pepper Sauce (Cach Lam Tuong Ot)

Chili Hot Pepper Sauce (Tuong Ot)

1/3 cup Sugar
1 cup Vinegar
1/2 lb. Chili Hot Pepper
Glass Jar
Some Salt

In a small sauce pan pour in 1 cup Vinegar. Add in 1/3 cup Sugar.
Using medium heat, stir until the Sugar has completely disolved.  Turn off heat and let it cool.
Take half of the Chili Hot Pepper and chop it into small pieces. Once you have half of it chopped add some Salt and finely mince the Chili Hot Pepper.
Put the minced Chili Hot Pepper into the Glass Jar. Do the same thing to the rest of the Chili Hot Pepper.
Now you have a jar of minced Chili Hot Pepper.  Pour in the liquid mixture.  Try to pour as much as you can, throw away any extra liquid mixture.
Put a small plastic wrap on top of the jar and cover it with a lid.
