Bitter Melon Soup (Canh Kho Qua) Recipe
1/2 lb Ground Pork
1/8 tsp Mushroom Seasoning
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
Pinch Black Pepper
2 Garlic Clover (minced)
1 Green Onion (chopped into Pork)
2 Wood Ear Mushroom (soaked in water until soften)
1/2 cup Bean Thread Noodles (soaked in water until soften)
2 Bitter Melon
1 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Mushroom Seasoning
1 tsp Fish Sauce
Add in 1 tsp Sugar, 1/2 tsp Salt, some Black Pepper, 1 Green Onion, and 2 minced Garlic Clover into the Ground Pork.
Chop the Wood Ear Mushroom and Bean Thread Noodles. Add in with the Ground Pork and mix well.
Remove the center of the Bitter Melon. Stuff the center with the pork. Cut the Bitter Melon into halves.
Fill about 5-6 cups of water into pot. Bring to a boil and put in the Stuffed Bitter Melon. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Add in 1 tsp Salt, 1 1/2 tsp Sugar, 1/2 tsp Mushroom Seasoning, and 1 tsp Fish Sauce. Let it simmer for 15 minutes or until the Bitter Melon has soften.
After the Bitter Melon has finish cooking add in chopped Green Onions and Black Pepper.
