Tofu Fish Sauce (đậu hũ sốt nước mắm) Recipe


Ingredients
6 Firm Tofu
All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning
1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
2 tsp. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Fish Sauce
5 Tbsp. minced Garlic
2 Tbsp. chopped Shallots
3 Tbsp. Water
Green Onions
5 Tbsp. Olive Oil and 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Frying Oil

Peel and chop 1 Shallot. 

Add 5 Tbsp. Olive Oil into a pan.  Add in 5 Tbsp. minced Garlic.  Pan fry the Garlic.  Strain out the Oil and set the Garlic aside. 

Cut 6 Firm Tofu into smaller pieces.  Coat the Tofu in some All Purpose Flour. 

Add some Frying Oil into a pan.  Pan fry the coated Tofu until golden.  Place it on paper towel and set aside. 

Add 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil into a pan.  Add in 2 Tbsp. chopped Shallots. Saute for a few seconds. Add in 2 Tbsp. Fish Sauce.  Add 2 tsp. Sugar. Add 1 tsp. Mushroom Seasoning. Add 3 Tbsp. Water. Let it simmer and then add in the fried Tofu. Mix well.  Add in the Fried Garlic and mix.  Add in the Green Onions and 1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper.  Quick mix and remove from heat.  Enjoy with meal.
