Garlic Fried Rice (Cơm chiên tỏi) Recipe


 Ingredients
1 lb. cooked Rice (1 day old)
2 tsp. Soy Sauce
Olive Oil
chopped Green Onions
1 Egg
1 whole Garlic
Pinch of Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp. Sugar
Pinch of Chicken Seasoning
Ground Black Pepper

Peel 1 whole Garlic. Use some to mince and the rest cut into slices.
Beat 1 egg in a small bowl and set aside. 

In a small pan, add in some Olive Oil and the sliced Garlic.  Using medium heat, wait for it to golden and remove from heat.

In a large pan, add in 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil and minced Garlic.  Saute for a few seconds. Add in 1 lb. cooked Rice (best to use 1 day old rice). On high heat, stir the rice.  Add in the Egg. Mix the rice with the egg until it’s evenly coated. Add in 1/2 tsp. Sugar, pinch of Kosher Salt, pinch of Chicken Seasoning and 2 tsp. Soy Sauce.  Mix well. Add in chopped Green Onions, the sliced Garlic and Ground Black Pepper.  Stir for a few seconds, remove from heat and serve.
