Grilled Teriyaki Chicken (Ga Nuong Teriyaki)
Grilled Teriyaki Chicken (Ga Nuong Teriyaki)
Ingredients:
Marinate:
2 Chicken Breast
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
1 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Rice Cooking Wine
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
Teriyaki Sauce:
7 Tbsp. Chicken Broth
2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp. minced Ginger
1 tsp. Rice Cooking Wine
1/2 tsp. Rice Vinegar
1 Tbsp. minced Garlic
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
1 Tbsp. minced Onion
Roasted Sesame Seeds (Optional)
Green Bell Pepper (Optional)
Onion (Optional)
Cut 2 Chicken Breast into large strips or chucks. Then put in a bowl to marinate. Add 1 Tbsp. minced Garlic. Add 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper.
Add 1/4 cup Soy Sauce. Add 1/4 cup Rice Cooking Wine. Add 1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil. Mix well and cover with plastic wrap.
Put in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
After 2 hours, you can put the Chicken on a skewer. Stick some Green Bell Pepper and Onion with the chicken to grill. This is optional. You can also just grill the chicken without the Bell Pepper and Onion.
Now grill the chicken until cooked. Remember to turn the chicken to make sure it's evenly cooked.
To make the Teriyaki sauce. Using medium low heat, in a sauce pan add 1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil. Add 1 Tbsp. minced Onion. Add 1 Tbsp. minced Garlic. Add 1/2 tsp. minced Ginger.
Sauté for a few seconds. Add 7 Tbsp. Chicken Broth. Add 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce. Add 1 tsp. Rice Cooking Wine. Add 1/2 tsp. Rice Vinegar. Add 1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar.
Mix well and remove from heat.
To serve, spread some of the Teriyaki sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle some roasted Sesame Seeds. Enjoy your Grilled Teriyaki chicken with a bowl of rice.
